Den. sanderae var. luzonica

This one failed to bloom in summer but now just bloom in winter. But I think it blooms in the wrong season, the flowers are weak but it does last for a long time. A very showy plant.

Cattleya percivaliana

Cattleya percivaliana is a winter-blooming species of the Venezuelan Andes. I find it usually blooms in December in Taiwan. The flower shape is quite neat and the flower is scented with a mixed spicy fragrance which is a bit different from other Cattleya species.

Coelogyne hirtilla

I found this Coelogyne hirtilla in bloom in Mesilau where is the entrance of the hiking trail to Mt. Kinabalu. Nice flowers and very fragrance.

Bulb. gracillimum

My Bulb. gracillimum came from Thailand, it blooms regularly during every winter in Taiwan. It looks very delicate but it's a short life bloomer.

Cattleya walkeriana var. coerulea "Blue Manhattan"

One of the blue forms C. walkeriana, it's very fragrant. The thrips like it a lot and gave it a bite already. :-(

Bulbophyllum plumatum

So-called "red ribbon" Bulbophyllum , a miniature epiphytic orchid that is found in Malaysia and Philippines. As usual, the blooms last few days only, you must remember to check the bubs day by day to see if it blooms to avoid missing the flowers.

Dendrochilum uncatum

It's hot to warm growing, native in Taiwan and Philippines as epiphytic plants. The yellow spike with many tiny flowers come with fragrance that occur in the late autumn.

Doritis pulcherrima var. blue

Very poor growing technique, just a bloom. @@
But this is a very easy grower in the warm place, just I forgot it for a long time. Hopefully I will be able to get more blooms in next season.

Paph. henryanum

A miniature Paph. species found in South China and North Vietnam. It blooms in the autumn with a colorful flower that is quite long-lasting. Nice species !

Bulb. blepharistes

Warm to hot grower, native in Indo-China peninsula. It blooms in the autumn, the flowers are very cute.

Arundina graminifolia

This is also called the "Bamboo Orchid", the Arudina graminufolia is widely distributed in South East Asia and outside Asia. The plant and the flower from different regions varies. This is a ground orchid, a very good bloomer in outdoor under full sunlight.

These Arudinas are in cultivation, they looks better in color and the flower appearance. Usually you can find them in the tropical gardens.

These are wild forms that I saw at Mesilau, Mount Kinabalu. I also found a peloric form at the road side. The plant size is much smaller than the red one and it's green.

Arachnis longisepala

So called "Spider Orchid" , the bloom of Arachnis is amazing for the first sight. The habitat of Arachnis longisepala is in Borneo, the flower is large, interesting and unique. No fragrance.

Phal. violacea "Indigo" Red

This individual "Indigo" mainly features the blue flower of Phal. violacea , but it also produced some "Red" individuals. I think the red ones are also charming despite of the original purpose is to create "Blue" violacea.

Encyclia radiata

This fragrance, long-lasting orchid is easy to grow and bloom. Warm to hot growing, it is interesting that the flowers are upside down.

Slc. Hawaiian Splash "Lea"

This colorful miniature Cattleya comes with 1 ¾” flowers in the spring which seem to glow from within. The peloric flower petals are perfect and unique with eye-catching patterns.

Coelogyne pulverula

It was a rainy day and I saw it during my trip to Tambunan, Sabah last month. Crazy bloomer , inflorescence more than 1 meter but no fragrance.

Den. Enobi Purple "Splash"

I am really into this small to compact growing Dendrobium that blooms in the autumn. Den. Enobi Purple "Splash" is one of the prettiest. The flowers are really long-lasting while some mini Dendrobium doesn't. I let it grow freely without putting any fertilizer.

Very long-lasting, very fragrance at night. An easy grower that you can easily take care and bring it to bloom. You should have it for hot summer.

Kingidium minus

Kingidium minus is a miniature orchid found in Thailand and Burma, it is a warm to hot grower. The flowers are very striking with all the petals and sepals pointing upward in white with vivid dark pink veins and yellow petal tips. This plant likes to be mounted as it is an epiphyte.
