Aerides houlletiana

Aerides houlletiana was found growing in the lowland forest of South East Asia at elevations up to 700 meters. It blooms in early summer with coloful and fragrant flowers.

This miniature orchid is fragrant, long lasting and easy to grow. The interesting thing is the alba form is very popular here but I never see the type form of this species.

Laelia purpurata

The flowers of Laelia purpurata are very showy, fragrant, and long-lasting. This typical form has white petals and sepals and a purple lip. Usually blooms in time when the summer begins.
